Traditional alpine cattle drive week

Autumn arrives on the mountain and the grazing livestock returns to the valley from their mountain pastures. This is the day when farmers and Alpine herdsmen and dairymen give thanks for a good Alpine summer and celebrate the cattle having returned well and healthy to their own cowshed in the valley.

 

One of the highlights is the in-house alpine pasture cattle drive, where you can experience at first hand how the cows are decorated. Our musicians plus a farmers and handicrafts market create a truly festive air.
