Gramai-Hochleger

  • Route: Alpengenusshof Gramai (1,267 m) - Gramai-Hochleger (1,756 m)
  • Walking time: 1.5 h
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Elevation change: 489m

Details: The hike to Gramai-Hochleger is a comfortable one and a half hour trip. The trails are good and the incline is gentle. Gramai-Hochleger location is perfect for a refreshment stop. From the Gasthof Gramai inn, hike 20 minutes south to a fork in the trail and stay to the right. Follow a narrow and relatively steep trail along a brook - including a waterfall along the way. Then pass through a field of mountain pine over to Gramai Hochleger. From the alpine hut, it is possible to traverse over to the Lamsenjochhütte or to descend to Engalm.

 

 

Binsalm

  • Route: Alpengenusshof Gramai (1,267 m) - Gramai-Hochleger (1,756 m) - Binsalm (1,503 m)
  • Walking time: 3 h
  • Difficulty: easy to moderate
  • Elevation change: 489 m (easy trail)

Details: The hike to Binsalm is a comfortable three-hour trip. The trails are good and the incline is gentle. Gramai Hochleger and Binsalm mountain huts are perfect for a refreshment stop. From the Gasthof Gramai inn, hike 20 minutes south to a fork in the trail and stay to the right. Follow a narrow and relatively steep trail along a brook - including a waterfall along the way. Then pass through a field of mountain pine over to the Gramai Hochleger hut. Then hike to the southwest to the Binssattel (pass), follow a fork to the right and continue on the trail down to the Binsalm hut.

 

 

Engalm

  • Walking time: 3.5 h
  • Difficulty: easy to moderate
  • Elevation change: 489 m (easy trail)

Details: The hike to the Engalm hut is an easy trip. The trails are good and the incline is gentle. The Gramai Hochleger, the Binsalm and the Engalm huts are perfect for a refreshment stop. From the Gasthof Gramai inn, hike 20 minutes south to a fork in the trail and stay to the right. Follow a narrow and relatively steep trail along a brook - including a waterfall along the way. Then pass through a field of mountain pine over to the Gramai Hochleger hut. Then hike to the southwest to the Binssattel (pass), follow a fork to the right and continue on the trail down to the Binsalm hut. Then a forest road descends to

 

 

Lamsenjoch

  • Route: Alpengenusshof Gramai (1,267 m) - Lamsenjochhütte (hut at 1,953 m)
  • Walking time: 2 h
  • Difficulty: moderate
  • Elevation change: 686 m (easy trail)

Details: The Alpengenusshof Gramai is the starting point for this trip. The route then heads south to Schotterbett and continues straight to Gramaigrund. A steep gravel trail then climbs to the alpine hut. The Lamsenjoch pass can then be reached in approx. 2 hours, along with its fantastic view of the Falzthurn valley.
From the Lamsenjoch hut, it is possible to then continue through the Stallen valley to the Inn valley, or to make a loop via the Hahnkampl (2,082 m) to Gramai Hochleger and back to the Gramai Alm. The higher route to the Lamsenspitze (peak at 2,508 m) is only for experienced hikers, following a scree slope to a vertical cliff. An exposed via ferrata leads to the Bruder tunnel. After traversing this cave and reaching the other face of the ridge, stay to the right and follow the cabled but exposed climb to the Lamsenspitze summit. For the climb from the hut to the summit, budget 2 hours. The rigorous climb is then rewarded by enchanting views of the Karwendel range, as well as the Tux Prealps and Zillertal Alps.

 

 

Sonnjoch

  • Route: Alpengenusshof Gramai (1,267 m) - Gramai-Hochleger (1,756 m) - Sonnjoch (2,457 m)
  • Walking time: 3.5 h
  • Difficulty: moderate
  • Elevation change: 1.194 m (easy trail)

Details: The Alpengenusshof Gramai is the starting point for this trip, where the walls of Sonnjoch (peak at 1,100 m) reach into the sky. The climb requires approx. 3.5 hours; following the narrow trails over grass and scree requires careful footwork. The Gramai Hochleger alpine hut is a great base and a perfect place for a break. The view from the Sonnjoch summit is well worth the climb. You will see a kilometre-long ridge of rock to the south from which the Lamsenspitze summit scrapes the sky. From the Gasthof Gramai inn, hike 20 minutes south to a fork in the trail and stay to the right. Follow a narrow and relatively steep trail along a brook - including a waterfall along the way. Then pass through a field of mountain pine over to the Gramai Hochleger hut. From this location, stay right through meadow terrain, pass through a belt of mountain pine and follow the ascending ridge and a steep flank to the summit ridge.

 

 

Hahnkampl

  • Route: Alpengenusshof Gramai (1,267 m) – Gramai Hochleger (1,756 m) - Hahnkampl (2,082 m) - Lamsenjochhütte (1,953 m)
  • Walking time: 3-4 h
  • Difficulty: moderate
  • Elevation change: 815 m (easy trail)

Details: The hike to Hahnkampl is a comfortable 3 to 4-hour trip. The trails are good and the incline is gentle. The Gramai Hochleger and Lamsenjochhütte huts are perfect for a refreshment stop. From the Hahnkampl summit, there is a fantastic view of the wild rock formations all around. From the Gasthof Gramai inn, hike 20 minutes south to a fork in the trail and stay to the right. Follow a narrow and relatively steep trail along a brook - including a waterfall along the way. Then pass through a field of mountain pine over to the Gramai Hochleger hut. Then hike to the southwest to the Binssattel, follow a fork to the left and continue on the ridge to Hahnkamplspitze summit. Continuing on the trails, reach the Lamsenjochhütte via the western Lamsenjoch. Just before the hut, a trail forks off to the left and leads down to the Gramai Alm.
