Winter - A paradise in the Gramai

The Alpengenusshof Gramai is also open during winter! Accessible via a wonderful cross-country skiing trail or a formed winter hiking path, we also spoil you during the winter with Tyrolean specialties in the daytime.

Since the Gramai Alm cannot be reached by car during the winter, no rooms can be rented out during this season unfortunately. We would be glad to welcome you with us at the Alm during the summer from the beginning of May onwards.

Alpine hikes in the Tyrolean winter idyll… Through the deep snow with snowshoes or following the winter hiking paths

Whether a gentle stroll along Lake Achen or a rigorous hike in another (winter) world, one holiday is hardly enough to sample the 150 km of winter hiking.

Entirely pristine winter landscapes can be explored by snowshoe. The Karwendel valleys are the best starting points.

Cross-country skiing

Over 200 kilometres of backcountry trails provide nearly limitless fun between the majestic Rofan and Karwendel ranges. The highly varied terrain makes the region one of the most exciting Nordic centres in Tyrol, from the gently rolling hills along the Lake Achen to the challenging trails in the Karwendel valleys or in Steinberg am Rofan. Separate tracks for classic cross-country skiers and skaters of all difficulty levels are a matter of course, and an exemplary guidance system is on hand for orientation: Each kilometre is signposted, handy cross-country skiing maps with detailed information and profiles are available from the tourist office.

If Mother Nature isn't playing her part, then that isn't a problem: Numerous cross-country trail kilometres are mechanically covered with artificial snow in this case. It is obvious why the region is regularly distinguished with the Tyrolean Trail Quality Seal for these efforts.
